History says it can see the exact moment when the boy becomes the killer. Where fear gives way to animal instinct; where I become a monster. History says it was one of the most chilling moments ever seen in the Games, when I connect those two wires and become a winner. History won’t tell how I thought not of killing, but of my mother on her deathbed back home. I thought of the winnings, and how they could afford her a proper doctor. I thought of how in a few short moments I could save myself and my entire family. I just had to close my eyes and touch the two wires together. No, history wouldn’t tell that, would it?
